Xbox Support is surely one of the top on the market when it comes to responding to problems related to their consoles and this is just another example of that. They posted the following tweet on Xbox Support Twitter after initial reports about Xbox consoles crashing with NBA 2K22:
Although it's been an issue for some time on Xbox, even more mention of console crashes came up in recent months about people experiencing major issues trying to specifically play NBA 2K22 on Xbox Series X or S as we've reported ourselves a few days back.
When trying to load NBA 2K22 on Xbox Series X/S, several players have reported the system crash, followed by an error message saying that the console is designed to shut down automatically due to insufficient ventilation. It is possible that there are no ventilation issues in console players, but instead an issue is triggering it.
NBA 2K22 hasn't been the sole game to suffer from issues because other players started to write recently about how they were getting the exact message when trying to play Madden 22 and FIFA 22 also, FIFA 22 only accessible in the EA Play 10 hour free trial as of now.
This is more intriguing since the game of 2K Sports and two from EA Sports have led to this mistake the majority of which are to be sports-related games as well. The issue persists a few days later, according to the Xbox Status page. It is still displaying an issue in NBA 2K22, but it's close to being fixed.
